MIAMI – A Mexican woman known as the “Queen of the Pacific” has pleaded guilty in a U.S. federal court in Miami to a drug trafficking charge and admitted she provided money to a former Colombian drug lord to help him avoid arrest.
Sandra Avila Beltran, 52, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to being an accessory after the fact to a drug trafficking organization once led by Juan Diego Espinosa Ramirez, an ex-boyfriend.
